The Rwandan government implemented the Rwanda e-visa application to streamline the visa application process for a Rwanda tourist visa, eliminating the need to apply at the embassy or consulate.

The Rwanda electronic visa is valid for 03 months from the arrival date. Dutch citizens can apply for a Rwanda visa online, which takes only a few minutes to complete. To receive an approved e-visa Rwanda via email, applicants must fill out personal and passport information, travel details, and answer some security questions.

Types of Rwanda visas for Dutch citizens:

There are 4 main types of Rwanda visas for foreign visitors:

  • Rwanda Tourist e-visa: Dutch visitors with a Rwanda tourist e-visa can enter Rwanda once and stay in the country for up to 30 days.
  • Rwanda Conference e-visa: This travel document is available if you would like to attend or speak at a conference, meeting, or seminar in Rwanda. The Rwanda Conference E-Visa allows a duration of stay within 30 days with a Single Entry into Rwanda.
  • Rwanda Transit e-visa: A person transiting through Rwanda and having a short trip for a period not exceeding 72 hours can apply for this type of visa. The validity of the Transit e-visa is 03 months from the date of arrival in Rwanda.
  • East Africa e-visa: An East Africa Tourist Visa is a joint tourist visa issued to Dutch tourists visiting Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda simultaneously. The total duration of stay for this type of e-visa is up to 90 days from the entry date with multiple entries between the 03 countries.
