Do Dutch citizens need a transit visa for Rwanda?
Yes. All travelers who intend to visit or go through Rwanda must have a valid visa and a valid passport. A transit e-visa is a document that allows Dutch nationals to pass through Rwanda with a 3-day maximum stay. During this time, Dutch citizens can stop in this country and take a rest before attending the next flight. The process to get a transit e-visa is very simple. All Dutch citizens have to do is fill out the application online form for an e-visa. If passengers have all the necessary paperwork ready, it will only take a few business days to process and issue an e-visa. Dutch travelers need just a few documents to get a visa for Rwanda:
- Your Dutch passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival in Rwanda.
- A recently taken digital photo – Applicants must provide a digital photo with a clear face and background.
- A digital copy of their Dutch passport's biographical page.
- A working email address for receiving notifications and the e-visa approval
The e-visa result will be sent to the email address that you gave us when filling out the form. Remember to print it out with the flight information before going to the airport. If any Dutch citizens do not have a transit e-visa, they will be barred from stopping or entering Rwanda.
